State of decay 3 modes3/21/2023 If you have the space, take every gun or other weapon you find because you're going to need a lot of parts to repair stuff. A boombox also works but it doesn't take any zeds out so yeah.ĭon't discount food though, at some points, all my outposts were for food since we used so much of it and meds and ammo were easy enough to produce with chemicals and stuff. Morning yoga is also a great hero skill since it reduces injury severity by 20% which is neat.īefore taking out a heart I also use a whistling mine to clear distract and clear/incapacitate hordes and nearby zombies. If you can dedicate at least one character to taking out hearts and give them hygiene/pathology and powerhouse with endurance, that would make taking out hearts the most cost effective way (with heavy weapons and optimally scentblock also) much less risky. In my lethal trader legacy I had 2 characters with cleaning charts so I got lucky. You really want a character with resistance to blood plague honestly especially as a hero skill. I'd go with pathology, mechanics and agriculture or munitions subbed for one of those as the fifth skill. Always have an enclave or outpost in mind to run to if things get out of control. Avoid hostile humans unless you absolutely must take some out for a legacy mission at the end. If you find yourself with more and more zombies and things getting out of control at any location, run and break line of sight rather than getting stubborn and trying to fight. Keep base noise to a minimum and if your seige threat is in the red early game its better to spend the ammo to complete the siege rather than risk being present. I also like to save up and craft at least 1 or 2 plague cures before giving them samples as well.ĭrive slowly. I like to build my community up to a comfortable level before doing the first mission for the 2 plague samples. Guns are a last resort and never without silencers. Things I never used in other modes are very useful in lethal. Fully maxed powerhouse provides the ability to grapple from the front and that can be huge. Powerhouse for taking out hearts with heavy weapons as well as drop kicking ferals, stealth and gunslinger for obvious reasons. Powerhouse, stealth, and gunslinger are probably my favorite skills. I like to keep spamming the "find other survivors" radio call to keep a good amount of safe places to run to when in trouble. Develop a strategy for ferals, and early game that generally involves running. Cars use it faster, and molatovs/fuel bombs are essential. You'll go thru a lot of parts, chemicals, ethanol and fuel. I generally buy every rucksack anyone is selling. (Or blank if I find someone with great traits)įood outposts are important. I liked medicine (to get pathology for more plague samples and cheaper cures), a mechanic for crafting repair kits, and for the third I go either gardener, chemistry, or computers.
